We want you to love your food. Because our meals are freshly prepared and highly perishable, this policy balances fairness to you with the realities of food safety. It applies to à-la-carte orders, meal-plan subscriptions, and catering placed through anejocateringco.com.
1. À-la-carte orders
Cancellations & changes
You may cancel or modify an order at no charge up until that order's preparation cutoff — 6:00 PM (ET) the day before your scheduled delivery date. After the cutoff, ingredients are committed and the order can no longer be cancelled for a refund.
If something is wrong
If an item arrives incorrect, damaged, or not meeting our quality standard, contact us within 24 hours of pickup/delivery with your order details and a photo if possible. We will make it right with a replacement, account credit, or refund at our discretion. Please do not discard the item until we've connected.
Missed pickup / failed delivery
Orders not picked up within the scheduled window, or undeliverable due to an incorrect address or no safe drop-off, may be forfeited without refund, as we cannot resell prepared perishable food.
2. Meal-plan subscriptions
- How to cancel: from your account portal (Cancel, Pause, or Skip next week — available any time), or by emailing dayan@anejocateringco.com. We'll confirm in writing.
- When it takes effect: cancelling stops the renewal at the end of your current paid week — you receive every delivery already paid for, and no further charges occur. The current week's charge is not refunded, because that food is already scheduled and being prepared.
- Skipping or pausing: instead of cancelling, you can Skip next week (that week isn't charged or delivered; service resumes automatically) or Pause (billing and deliveries stop until you resume) — both from your account portal.
- Already-charged cycles: a charge for a cycle whose cutoff has passed is generally non-refundable because the food is being prepared, but contact us — we review case by case.
3. Catering & private events
Catering and large private-event orders are custom and may require a deposit. Unless your written catering agreement says otherwise (it controls if there's a conflict):
- Deposits secure your date and may be non-refundable.
- Cancellations made 7 or more days before the event may receive a partial refund of amounts beyond the deposit; later cancellations may be charged in full because ingredients and labor are committed.
4. How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via our payment processor (Square). Processing typically takes 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank. Account credits, where offered, are applied immediately to your next order.
5. Disputes & chargebacks
Please contact us first — we resolve most issues quickly. Filing a chargeback without giving us a chance to help may delay resolution. We document order, preparation, and delivery records to respond to disputes.
